I only just installed the product so I can't say for it's longevity, but it seems very promising. I don't know the quality of the internal antennas on my ASUS N76 laptop, so I can't comment on that. A faster router with a stronger reception would probably result in faster speeds. Connecting to my NAS i'm able to reach over 20 MB (that's megabytes, so over 160 megabits) upload speed at 5 metres from the router.
Websites open noticeably faster than on the old n standard card. Overall, the software side of the installation was very easy. Wifi speed is very quick, keeping in mind that your antennas will be a limiting factor in signal strength. Wifi works in 802.11ac, bluetooth works as it should, no artifacts noticeable in sound transmission between the card and my bluetooth audio receiver. The product arrived packaged in an antistatic bag along with the installation screws - very thoughtful! Hardware installation is as easy as it is on your specific device, so can't comment on that.ĭevice drivers could be found on the intel website, and they work out of the box. The card was purchased to replace the existing wifi card in my laptop, that only supported up to 802.11n speeds.
